I am a plant-based mama who has always had a passion for empowering others to be their own advocate when it comes to their health and well-being. During my first pregnancy I received so much great education and information around pregnancy and birth, and not a lot about what to expect for postpartum. While I was prepared for the fourth trimester, as I was going through it, I came to recognize that there are a lot of gaps in postpartum preparation and support for families, especially for the birth parent and I felt called to help others navigate this transformative and vulnerable time.
As a Lactation Doula I have been extensively trained in providing breastfeeding and bodyfeeding support through Shaz from Mama Milk. Our approach is focused on empowering the nursing parent to understand and trust their babies innate feeding capabilities right from birth. I help to simplify breastfeeding and bodyfeeding and give parents confidence with supporting their baby through the early days and beyond.
I am also passionate about connecting with families during pregnancy as a Postpartum Educator. The support I provide looks different for everyone, but my goals for each family are always the same - honouring the need for rest and healing while learning to trust your intuition as a parent and bonding with your new baby.
